Why is Soulful Nutrition the Answer to Optimal Health?

As you have become familiar to the brand or maybe this is your first insight to Soulful Nutrition. Our values lie within a practice that puts functional medicine as the forefront of our core values, we put the individual as-a-whole first. We believe in sustainability, lifestyle, longevity, and empowerment over the trendiest and fastest approach every time. You may be asking, “why should the long road sound more appealing over a fast track?” Myself out of anyone loves instant gratification just as much as the next, but the journey through Soulful Nutrition is the key to unlock health that LASTS.

How does it last? Why can’t I just buy a program and make it “last”? This approach is personal, it takes into account your past & present relationship with food, based around your specific symptom and/ or disease management and treatment, and is integrated into your lifestyle realistically. Programs don’t know who YOU are, and they definitely do not care if you do them or not. But as someone who was raised by the most logistical father, I know touchy feels doesn’t ignite in everyone.

Let’s weigh our options and crunch some numbers. Let’s say you want to tackle the gym and get a personal trainer… once or maybe you are really ambitious and see them twice a week. As someone how was in that industry for many years your have zero credible background in nutrition and deep down you know health is 90% diet and 10% activity (and that is science.) But you do it anyways and it equates to at the least $75 a session so that’s 1-2k in the first 12 weeks to see results and that’s IF you figure the nutrition side on your own. Not to mention facing burn out, scheduling conflicts, set backs because progress is not linear, and where do you end up in 12 weeks? Your body has completely adapted to the new physical activity, you still have a complicated relationship with food, and maybe you still do not have any tools of health outside of the four walls of a gym. Okay… but what about a quick and cheaper meal plan, fad diet, diet “challenge” or meal service? Motivation only takes your so far from day one, eating from a meal service for 12 weeks doesn’t sound great for a social life or quality of life in general, plus you have no tools to use that aren’t in the strict guidelines of whatever the plan is. You can ask any of my clients and I see it time and time again, it’s the biggest light bulb moment when I say, “If you fill in the blank of x, y, z to restrict, it will only ever make you want it more.” So your telling me there is a way to change my life without restricting…? 100%. Discipline is not restricting, developing tools is not restricting, educating yourself on the body is not restricting, and feeling empowered to change your life is not restricting.

I’ll leave you with this because truly I could go on and on why I’m so passionate about what this company does for people’s lives. If you were told the secret to optimal health was at the top of a mountain, would you go through no training and charge it full speed ahead hoping your motivation and endurance will get you there or would you get the right tools, attach a safety rope so when you feel fatigued you rest but don’t fall to failure, and take it step by step to ensure you get there at all costs? Don’t chance it with the one life and one body you have. Your life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better by small changes everyday that feed into becoming the best version of yourself.
